Talking in a layman manner, diabetes is basically a collection of diseases that involve problems related to the hormone ‘insulin’ which is an important hormone secreted by the Pancreas. Insulin is important for the body as it is responsible for absorbing glucose (sugar) from the blood into fat, skeletal muscle cell, and liver. While the pancreas are unable to secrete insulin, the blood sugar level rises that further gives birth to the problem of Diabetes. The disease is usually followed with quite troubling symptoms such as polydipsia, polyphagia, polyuria, etc.

In addition to this, they have to take special diet and take regular blood sugar tests.

Type-2

This is the most common type of diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, the body of the person is not able to produce sufficient insulin for its proper functioning. Or in some cases, the body of the patients do not react to insulin at all, it becomes resistant to insulin. it is the most common type of Diabetes and around 90 percent of all cases of diabetes are that of type 2. Unlike type-1 diabetes, people can control type-2 diabetes by eating a healthy diet, doing proper exercises regularly and regular blood sugar tests. The problem with type-2 diabetes is that it gets worse with time, and the patient has to eventually rely on taking insulin tablets or injections.
